Look Closely For a Whale Tail… A Humpback Whale!
Took this with my shitty 5 year old “waterproof” Olympus point and shoot camera while swimming with humpbacks in Vava’u Tonga. Words ca not describe how incredible this experience was.

On my recent trip to Indonesia, I went to Sukamade Beach where Green Sea Turtles come ashore EVERY NIGHT of the year to lay eggs. They have a hatchery there where rangers from the National Park collect the eggs to protect them from poachers and give the new turtles a better start on life. These are a few of the pics. Enjoy!!!

Sailor back on dry land…

Hello everyone!

Sorry for my long absence but I’ve been at sea since April!

I’ve been aboard the Tall Ship Soren Larsen. She is based out of Sydney, Australia now with Sydney Harbour Tallships. They now have four ships on the go: Soren Larsen, Southern Swan (Svanen), Coral Trekker and an old wooden ferry called Mulgi.

Over the course of my time aboard I was incharge of updating the blogs and photos on the ships website (www.sorenlarsen.co.nz) Take a look if you want to know what I’ve been up to.

I’ll be updating my Tumblr a lot now that I’m home. It’s good to be on dry land for a while… not that Seattle is dry…

Anyways. Keep an eye out for new pics and things from me :D YAY!

Fair Winds my Friends!
